The Access Economics' Economic Outlook for Specific Victorian Industries is advised by the Industry Skill Needs Report produced by Primary Skills Victoria and lists a number of occupations which have been identified as being in demand in Victoria. 

• Agronomists, Agricultural Advisors and Agricultural Technical officers
• Primary Product Inspectors
• Conservation Managers and Land Managers
• Apprentices through to Specialists in horticulture and landscaping
• Arborists and Tree Surgeons
• Animal Handlers, Animal Carers and Animal Technologists

Critical Skills Shortages were identified in the following occupations:-

• Landscape Gardener
• General Gardener
• Shearer
• Tree Surgeon
• Agricultural Advisor
• Animal Technologist
• Primary Product Inspector
• Agricultural Technical Officer
• Farrier
